News from our clinic – September 2020

As well as our Osteopaths, we have welcomed the return of our other therapists too:
Libby Dorward, our Neuro-Physiotherapist, and Martin Thompson, our Podiatrist.

We also welcome Natasha Morley to the Clinic. Natasha is an experienced Clinical Deep Tissue/Sports and Prenatal Massage Therapist, and you can find out more about her below.

Catherine Hamilton-Plant has decided to leave this clinic in October 2020. She has been an important part of the team here in Tennyson Road where she started to practice as an Osteopath 37 years ago.
Not only is she an extremely well thought of and experienced Osteopath but she has also contributed enormously to the osteopathic profession over these years. We would like to take this opportunity to wish her all the best for her future.

Focus on Natasha

In our newsletters we like to feature members of our team, to give you more of an insight into each person and their skills. Since Natasha is new to us, let’s find out a little more about her background.

Natasha Deep Tissue Massage Therapist

Natasha gained her Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology and Body Massage and Sports Massage in 1997.  These initial qualifications lead her to Advanced Soft Tissue Techniques, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy and  Acupressure, all of which Natasha incorporates into her treatments, when required.

She recently completed her Midwifery Training at University of Hertfordshire which lead to an HE Diploma in Maternal and Neonatal Health Studies and a Prenatal Massage Diploma with the Centre of Excellence.

Her work has been alongside the Chiropractic and Osteopathic professions, working in Harpenden, Hitchin and Luton, noteably alongside the well respected Dr Graham S. Heale DC. Dip Biomech. DChiro, a path which has had a huge impact on they way Natasha works within clinic.  This early experience enabled her to gain a wealth of experience, not only in muscular and skeletal dysfunction, but also in clinical practice.  She has continued to work alongside both Chiropractors and Osteopaths throughout her career.

Natasha has also worked alongside Hitchin Town FC (2003-2010) and Stotfold FC (2010-2011) as their official Sport Massage Therapist.

Natasha has over 23 years experience in her chosen field, specialising in Deep Tissue, Clinical, Sports and Prenatal Massage Therapy.  She is full Member of the Guild of Holistic Therapists (MGHT) and the Complimentary Medical Association (CMA).

In other news…

I would like to assure you that we are following all advice and guidance from the Government and the General Osteopathic Council with regards to operating safely and effectively, whilst optimising care for our patients.

Rest assured that as a professional and responsible clinic, we will be doing everything possible to minimise the chances of cross-contamination, and as always will be keeping our clinic clean and safe. Your health and well-being is very important to us. You can read about the changes in our clinic and what to expect here.

I would like to thank you for your patience during this time, especially as we have fewer appointments available.
